Art

As students in our grammar school are learning the basics of language and math, art instruction focuses on the elements of art as the fundamental concepts to recognize, use, and build into visual words and sentences.  Knowing, understanding, processing, and analyzing the use of the elements of art aid students not only in their own artistic creations but in processing the materials of other lessons at school because it helps give students greater clarity to process verbal and written lessons visually.
In the tradition of academic art, fine arts at GCCA teaches students in the middle and high school, the skills to create realistic representations of the known, created world and to compose compositions that communicate most effectively.  Visual art is yet another way for students to digest, synthesize, and communicate what they learn in all the disciplines they encounter in the classrooms at GCCA.
